Poor Egg Quality

Many factors influence egg quality (age, health status, genetics etc.), find out how long it may take for your egg quality to improve and why egg quality is so important.

The quality of your eggs plays a large role in how easily you become pregnant.  Not only will a low quality egg decrease your chances of conceiving, it will also increase your chances of miscarriage if conception does in fact take place.  It is always nice to produce many eggs, but quality (not quantity) is best.

Follicles take about 3 months to fully mature. Issues with egg quality, which is detected through your FSH levels and other methods, require at least 3 months to allow treatment to influence the quality of the maturing follicles. The same goes for sperm quality.  Recommended  treatments last for at least 4-6 months.
