Acupuncture – A Modern Approach
Although I still love the interesting and poetic theories behind Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), I find myself leaning more on the modern applications of Acupuncture when it comes to fertility treatments. I like knowing that there is solid research supporting the things I do with my clients.
When you come to see me at my clinic – I’ll will be happy to provide a no-nonsense explanation about what treatments I’m doing with you and why.
Most fertility clients require some amount of hormonal balancing – Acupuncture is fantastic for this. Think of Acupuncture as a gentle physiological nudge for the body to function in a balanced way (if hormones are too elevated – Acupuncture brings it down. If hormones are too low – the same Acupuncture brings it up).
Other treatments include a more ‘nourishing’ approach. Treatments such as dietary or supplement advice are of extreme importance to help people successfully reach their fertility goals. Modern nutritional supplements, proper food choices and Chinese herbal medicine can be extremely valuable – particularly for those dealing with poor ovarian reserve or age related fertility issues.
